The Movie Making Journey Begins

I spent the weekend setting up the website and creating all the accounts we might need: FacebookTwitterGoogle+Instagram, and even a newsletter account. Check, check, check, check, check, and check. In 3 days, I’m off to Utah to join Lori and crew for our first official shoot. I'm beyond excited.

We’re headed to Snowville (sounds cold) where horse trainer, Brandon Buttars lives with his wonderful family. Our goal is to get the footage we’ll need for a movie trailer—not a traditional movie trailer, but a pre-production trailer to help generate interest in the project (I have a feeling that fundraising is going to turn out to be as much of an adventure as movie making).

And this is it; this is the beginning. We're going to make a movie. The long list of things that have to be done to make a movie is daunting, and I know that all of our combined skills are going to be put to the test (bring it on skill-testing experiences), but I just can't be anything but excited to work on telling this story!

I’ll be blogging along the way, so check back in once in a while to see what we're up to. If you have any ideas you want to share or just cheer us along, we'd love to hear from you! Thanks!
